From September 2 to 4, a wide-ranging promotional campaign will unfold, including a photographic showcase of Vietnamese tourism and screenings of films promoting tourism at three cinema complexes in Quy Nhon and five outdoor venues across Binh Dinh.
On September 2, an experiential tour will guide delegates, guests, filmmakers and sports figures to iconic sites such as Lang Song Church, Quang Trung Museum, and the scenic Ky Co and Eo Gio. The aim is to spark creativity and highlight potential filming locations that could spotlight these destinations to domestic and global audiences.
To provide a forum for filmmakers and managers and facilitate dialogue between filmmakers and policymakers on innovative strategies for sustainable development, a seminar is scheduled for September 3.
The events will also spotlight Binh Dinh's renowned martial arts heritage, featuring demonstrations and a grand music festival, 'Wings of Miracle'. This spectacle is expected to draw up to 10,000 spectators and will showcase interactions with celebrated domestic and international performers.
Ta Xuan Chanh, director of Binh Dinh Department of Culture and Sports, talked to Binh Dinh News about the event's significance, saying, "This initiative aims to harness our cultural heritage for tourism growth. It is about fostering partnerships between Binh Dinh and other regions in sports, tourism, and cinema for mutual, sustainable development."
The strategy of showcasing natural landscapes through film has previously bolstered tourism in several Vietnamese provinces. Notable examples include Phu Yen, following the release of 'Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass' (2015), and Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, and Quang Binh, which gained prominence after featuring in 'Kong: Skull Island' (2017).
