With the coronavirus, or COVID-19, outbreak declared as a nationwide epidemic, the Vietnamese government has since put in place numerous measures to prevent it from spreading, allowing the country to successfully control the situation.

Throwing its full weight behind the government’s initiative to protect the health of the populace, Amway Vietnam – in collaboration with the Vietnam Government Portal (VGP) and VGP News – handed over 1,000 Nutrilite Vitamin C Bio Plus pillboxes, 500 bottles of L.O.C washing liquid, and 500 bottles of G&H Protect+ to Lang Son.

All these products will be sent to northern isolated areas, as well as the customs clearance and immigration areas of the border gates to China in the same province, according to the directions of the National Steering Committee on Coronavirus Prevention and Control.

Nguyen Phuong Son, head of Amway Vietnam’s Public Affairs said, “Over the years, Amway Vietnam has professed its responsibility for the community, as seen in our multitude of community-oriented activities. This responsibility doubles in emergency situations like the COVID-19 epidemic and we are trying to live up to it.”

Son added, “This practical activity will contribute to the prevention of the current epidemic and will provide direct support to health officials and soldiers, as well as local people.”

Improving everyday lives throughout more than 60 years of operation, Amway has been doing its utmost to help people live better through vigorous corporate social responsibility programmes.

Previously, Amway China sent a large batch of nutritional products worth ¥11 million ($1.57 million) to two hospitals the Chinese government had allocated to treat COVID-19 patients.
