To provide a complete picture of the digital experience and its impacts on the strategy of reaching customers, VSMCamp & CSMOSummit – the most significant annual sales, marketing, advertising, and communication event in Vietnam – took place on November 18-19 with the theme Digital Experience - DigitalX.
At the VSMCamp & CSMOSummit event – co-organised by the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CSMO) Association Vietnam and Le Bros – more than 70 leading lecturers, experts, and entrepreneurs from Vietnam and abroad discussed perspectives on digital experience in the field of sales and marketing.
As the speaker at the first session entitled Digital Experience Trends - Breakthrough Innovations, Hoang Nam Tien, chairman of FPT Telecom said, “Throughout the process of social development, we have seen a manufacturing economy move to a service economy, and in the future, this will transition to an experience economy in which the most important factor to attract customers is personalisation on the digital platform.”
Tien added “Improving customer experience could completely change the market so we need to get rid of the old way of thinking and promote the application of digital technology. Applying technology is the most efficient way to personalise the customer experience.”
At the next session, Professor Werner H Kunz, a leading expert in marketing from the United States said, “Don't over-appreciate digital technology but don't under-appreciate it either. We need to balance the elements in the digital experience to bring more benefits to customers.”
In the context of the rapid increase of new apps, Kunz emphasised that it is necessary for users to be more careful in choosing the right product to ensure the security of their personal information.

Design thinking in customer experience creation is no longer a new factor for the sales and marketing community in Vietnam, but not all businesses know how to use design thinking effectively. So, Nguyen Quynh Trang, vice president of CSMO Vietnam, shared the steps of designing experiences under design thinking to match the strategy of each business.
She also pointed out some common problems, "Most of us just observe, research in our own industry, and skip the step of interviewing real customers. If we can see other industries and spend 50 per cent of the time empathising with customers, it will help us create and improve ourselves.”
In addition to the professional discussions for businesses and workers, the event also included open sessions for students and young people who are interested in the field of sales and marketing. In particular, discussion sessions such as Voices of young people - Dialogue between Generations of Marketers and Reaching Gen Z - The Future Generation of Customers attracted many young attendees who were born in the era of advanced technology.
In a speech to close the event, Le Quoc Vinh, vice president of CSMO Vietnam, chairman of Le Bros, and head of the organising team for the VSMCamp & CSMOSummit 2022 emphasised, “VSMCamp & CSMOSummit will always be a pioneer to present new knowledge, new ways of thinking, new experiences, and new trends in the sales and marketing industry in Vietnam and around the world.”
