VSIP and Binh Duong will administer vaccines to 40,000 workers in three days |
The vaccination will for three days from August 9 to 11. Binh Duong province has supplied vaccines to inoculate workers while VSIP has sponsored sites and some incurred expenses for vaccination to share the difficulties of businesses and workers.
After receiving his first jab, Truong Hoang Nam, an employee at Tran Quang Co., Ltd. at VSIP I said, "I was worried before the vaccination but the doctors and nurses were very dedicated and careful in providing guidance and checking our medical conditions."
During pandemic complications, Nam felt very lucky to receive the first vaccine but said he would continue following pandemic prevention measures.
Huynh Kinh Quoc, a representative of Hoya Lens Vietnam Co., Ltd. (VSIP II), said that all company workers have been vaccinated. He highly appreciated the fast and professional organisation of vaccination at VSIP.
“The timely and professional organisation made us all feel secure to maintain production. We hope that the government will soon provide the second shots for all workers living and working in Binh Duong to achieve herd immunity and return to normal life,” he said.
Dang Thi Kim Chi, president of the VSIP Trade Union, also expressed her wish that Binh Duong would continues prioritising vaccination for workers at "three on the spot" companies in specific and workers in general.
She proposed the province to organise on-site injection areas for enterprises employing a large number of workers to curb the spread of the pandemic and reduce coronavirus testing expenses for enterprises.
