The Vietnam National Tourism Administration awards 5-star standard certification for Bel Marina Hoi An Resort |
At the ceremony organised on November 19, Nguyen Quy Tan, head of the Tourism Division under Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, announced the decision to recognise the Bel Maria Hoi An Resort as meeting 5-star standards for five years from the date of signing and allow it to hang a bronze plaque showing quality recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Nguyen Thanh Hong, director of Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, awarded the 5-star certification decision to Robert Menzies Francis, general manager of the resort, and pulled the cloth to unveil the 5-star bronze plaque in front of customers, partners and the media.
Francis said, "Our journey started one year ago, and our staff has worked tirelessly to get Bel Marina Hoi An Resort to where it is today. It is a milestone marking the best moment for the resort when the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism awarded it 5-star rank, and we are all very proud."
At the same time, he highlighted Bel Marina Hoi An Resort's commitment to working towards a sustainable resort model and contributing to reducing carbon emissions. He said he also hoped that Bel Marina Hoi An Resort would become a favourite destination and choice of all tourists when visiting Hoi An.
During the event, guests can also enjoy cultural performances such as Cham dance, Vietnamese conical hat dance, folk dance with lanterns and participate in traditional local cultural activities such as making Hoi An fabric lanterns, shaping ceramic products from Thanh Ha pottery village, asking for calligraphy written by a master, or watching T'Rung performances.
