At the national conference on 30 years of FDI attraction in Vietnam today, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung handed over the merit and medal to Vietnam Investment Review for its outstanding achievements and contributions to FDI attraction throughout the past three decades.

Officially established when the national doi moi policy and international integration were kick-started, VIR’s development over the past 27 years (1991-2018) has been closely linked with the ups and downs of the Vietnamese economy and the domestic and foreign business communities.
Starting out with two newspapers, one in English and one in Vietnamese, VIR has grown into a leading multi-media group with five regular printed publications, four online newswires, and a range of prestigious special editions. VIR has succeeded in holding many big events, drawing special attention from investors, experts, international organisations, and the business community.
VIR has become one of the leaders in the Vietnamese press world. VIR has made important contributions to Vietnam’s investment promotion activities. It has become a bridge between domestic and foreign investors and state agencies, especially the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
