Under the VinFast e-motorbike system, the charging point network is an important part for VinFast Klara to dominate the market in the coming time and become a pioneer replacing combustion-engine motorbikes which are very popular in Vietnam.

One month ago, VinFast signed a business co-operation agreement with PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) to increase the efficiency of its petroleum and non-petroleum services, improve its market share, and especially catch up with the development trends of electric cars in the coming time.

Accordingly, the two sides will deploy charging points for electric vehicles at PVOIL’s petroleum stations and authorised agents, as well as invest in building, expanding, and trading non-petroleum services (convenience stores and automobile repair stations) at PVOIL’s petroleum stations. Thereby, 600 charging points will be installed at PV Oil's petroleum stations at the first time, and this figure will be raised to 20,000 points in 2020.

In early November, VinFast also signed a co-operation agreement with Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) on building a service chain for all VinFast products. Under the agreement, the company plans to develop a service system for vehicles at Petrolimex’s petrol stations, including charging stations and battery rental for electric vehicles and stations for inspections, maintenance, and repair of automobiles as well as electric scooters.

The two sides will also invest in roadside rest stations and convenience stores. This move will increase the number of VinFast service points to over 10,000, and, according to plans, will increase to 30,000 or 50,000 points across the country by 2020.

Until the end of the year, VinFast will continue setting up quick charging points at VinMart+ convenience stores in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, in addition to parking areas and other public areas. The speed of these charging points will be very fast, taking only 15-30 minutes for a full battery charge.
