Online learning platform Vietrade Edu offers crucial skills for female entrepreneurs

Today, the Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and MVV Entrepreneur Academy (MVV Academy) held an online opening ceremony to launch the Vietrade Edu online learning system along with the Business Planning Training Course and the "Female Entrepreneurs with a Successful Business Plan" contest.

These activities belong to the project on improving competitiveness in the digital environment for female-owned businesses in Vietnam (e-SWB Vietnam), funded by the Dutch Government through the Holland Embassy in Vietnam.

This initiative aims to support Vietnamese businesses and female entrepreneurs in trade promotion skills and strategic business thinking through a highly accessible and effective e-learning programme. Registered businesses will receive free online courses on business planning, production, import and export implemented on the Vietrade Edu system to build a more solid knowledge foundation for competition.

The Vietrade Edu online learning system was built upon MVV Everlearn, an e-learning platform that fulfills international learning standards with several features such as videos, infographics, presentations, PDF learning materials, podcasts, and microlearning. In addition, the platform promotes efficient learning accessibility by allowing learners to access the courses with different devices like smartphones, tablets, or computers.

Meanwhile, the “Women entrepreneurs planning for success” contest is for female entrepreneurs from cooperatives, production establishment owners, and small- and medium-sized enterprises, and will take place from September 24 to November 25. Female entrepreneurs will have a chance to receive advice from experts in various fields, learn, and network with their peers. This is an opportunity for female leaders to lean in, create breakthroughs, advance the necessary skillset to create a foundation for their career paths, develop their businesses, and at the same time, bring home valuable prizes.

Vu Ba Phu, director of VIETRADE shared that, “The COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting all areas of business, forcing businesses to transform and adapt to the new normal. Online operating methods nowadays are widely applied in many sectors including training activities. With the desire to introduce online learning to Vietnamese businesses, VIETRADE partnered with MVV Entrepreneur Academy Corporation to launch the Online Learning Platform Vietrade Edu which is easy to use and helps businesses save time and training cost."

"Vietrade Edu with elaborately and professionally designed lessons, teaching content designed by experienced experts who ready to advise after the course will support entrepreneurs to systematise knowledge and directly support female entrepreneurs to prepare for the upcoming competition and effectively apply it to business operations,” he said.

Bui Duc Quan, director of MVV Entrepreneurship Academy said that, “We are honoured that VIETRADE has chosen MVV Academy as a partner for this project of digital transformation of trade promotion activities in Vietnam. With MVV’s expertise in digital transformation and experience in developing training programmes for international partners like the ADB, UNDP, and the Department of Enterprise Development, we will bring practical and valuable knowledge to businesses aiming to accelerate their business growth in the global supply chain.”
