Leading the Top VBE500 rankings were Vietnam’s major enterprises in technology, telecommunications, banking and manufacturing with familiar names including Vietcombank, Vietinbank, BIDV, Viettel, FPT, Vinamilk.
CEO of Viet Research Truong Minh Tien committee said that these businesses were typical employers with policies to encourage diversity, promote creative thinking and nurture the next generation of talented workers.
"VBE500 is an annual nationwide research programme to recognise and honour the efforts and best achievements of employers in terms of job creation, employee welfare with creative business solutions in a volatile economy,” Tien said.
According to survey results of businesses in the Top VBE500 and Top 10 Vietnam Best Places to Work, Vietnam’s labour market is recovering impressively after the impact of inflation and the global economic slowdown that spread since the end of last year.
"The demand for labour recruitment will continue to grow 4-5 per cent each year and develop into production fields with higher added value. Enterprises in the Top VBE500 will contribute to orienting and spreading a fair and sustainable working environment," Nguyen Van Truc, research director of Viet Research's VBE500 project commented.
The 5 most important reasons affecting employees' decisions to stay or leave their jobs include welfare and income, career development opportunities, corporate environment and culture, company reputation and the ability to balance work and life, according to Truc.
According to the Q3/2023 labour market and employment update of the Vietnam General Office of Statistics, the unemployment rate of the working age population was 2.3 per cent, down 0.07 percentage points over the same period last year.
Along with the slow recovery of the economy, Viet Research said that many businesses are now paying more attention to creating a good working environment, improving salaries, and creating promotion opportunities as a way to add value to the business.
In which, nearly 80 per cent of VBE500 businesses believe that building a strong employer brand and corporate reputation is the most important solution to improve recruitment efficiency.
The CEO of Viet Research added, “The top VBE500 has political and social significance to raise awareness among the community, businesses, and employees about the importance of developing human resources, employee welfare policies, corporate culture, employer reputation and talented human resource attraction through communication of Vietnam’s Leading Employer Brand."
Within the framework of the programme, the ceremony to kick off the programme Product of the year 2023 – 2024 and honour businesses with innovative and effective products of 2023 also took place to honour creative activities and promote effective business of the business community.
