The most innovative and creative businesses in Vietnam for 2024 will be recognised by VIR and Vietnam Research on June 24.

The shortlists will include the Top 50 Most Innovative Enterprises Vietnam (VIE50) and the Top 10 Most Innovative Enterprises Vietnam (VIE10) in key economic sectors, and the Top 100 Innovative, Creative and Effective Products and Services.

This is the second consecutive year that businesses have been honoured based on results from Viet Research.

Viet Research representatives have stated that all the firms on the list have applied innovation and creativity in their operational models, product and service design, and management approaches. This has led to enhanced business efficiency, more established market positions, and contributed to the overall development of the country.

A quick survey of the businesses on the VIE50 and VIE10 lists reveals that a substantial 86 per cent of them consider innovation and creativity to be a crucial key to future growth, with the majority focussed on product and service innovation, as well as process improvement.

In addition, over 70 per cent of the surveyed businesses also indicated that they expect to increase their budget for innovation and creativity in the next two years.

These efforts have helped products originating from Vietnam integrate into global supply chains more easily, as evidenced by sustained export growth. Furthermore, these efforts have played a crucial role in elevating Vietnam's brand positioning to the rest of the world.

Within the framework of the event, both domestic and international experts will share insights on the importance of innovation and creativity in unlocking development potential and shaping the future generation of businesses. Associated Professor Dr. Vu Minh Khuong at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (National University of Singapore) will discuss the prerequisites for fostering business innovation and creativity.

Meanwhile, Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, director of the Institute for Brand and Competitiveness Strategy and Advisory Council of Viet Research, will present a paper concerning digital transformation, green transformation, and the development potential of businesses in Vietnam's current economic climate.

Innovation is a core factor for the long-term success of any enterprise. Creative strategies enable businesses on the VIE50 and VIE10 to stay ahead of their competitive counterparts, adapt to evolving market conditions, and meet the increasing demands of customers.
