The event will be organised by the Department of Technology Application and Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) and Quang Ninh Department of Science and Technology as part of Techconnect and Innovation Vietnam 2023.
The forum is expected to attract 400 participants, including representatives from ministries, agencies, business associations, and domestic and international companies.
Under the chairmanship of the MoST, the forum will discuss Vietnam's policies and programmes to support and promote the economical and efficient use of energy over the coming period, contributing to ensuring energy security up to 2030.
In the first of two sessions, experts will discuss new tech trends and solutions to contribute to ensuring energy security and sustainable development. Specific content will include developing energy storage technology and green transition solutions, improving the operational efficiency of thermal power plants, and discussing energy-saving measures that can be applied to industrial production.
In the second session, discussions will be focused on sci-tech policies for the research, application, and transfer of energy technology, those to support the efficient use of resources, the investment and energy development orientations of Quang Ninh province, and experiences in applying and developing new energy technology.
The Techconnect and Innovation Vietnam 2023 event is organised by the MoST together with Quang Ninh People's Committee, and is taking place from September 29 to 30 in the northern province.
