The open-air fair featured booths showcasing Taiwan tourism and study information, Taiwanese street food such as bubble tea and pineapple cakes, and high-quality Taiwanese products such as whisky and oolong tea. Three Taiwanese airline companies with operations in Vietnam were also present.

The event featured two live outdoor performances by Taiwan's Ten Drum Art Percussion Group. The celebrated drum performance group is known for bringing together traditional and popular drumming techniques, diverse cultural themes, and drawing inspiration from the history and scenery of Taiwan to create unique artistic performances.
Ten Drum Art Percussion Group have performed on all five continents, and their albums have been nominated at the Grammy Awards. In Hanoi, the group gave two live performances on an outdoor stage at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc square near Hoan Kiem lake.
Richard Shih, a representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam, said the event would bring the people of Taiwan and Vietnam closer together via cultural and artistic exchanges. Recently, two Vietnamese art groups were invited to perform in Taiwan, the Haiphong Puppet Troupe and the Phu Xuan Music Club from Hue.
Yang Yu-Wen, head of the visiting performers, said that Ten Drum outfit wished to bring the audience the beautiful scenery and cultural stories of Taiwan through drums, rhythm, martial arts, and visual performance.
Taiwan hopes to attract more Vietnamese tourists, as it reopened its borders on October 13. Foreign visitors no longer need to quarantine on arrival to Taiwan.
Before the pandemic, the number of mutual visitors between Taiwan and Vietnam grew significantly, reaching 1.2 million in 2019. Taiwan's tourism authorities hope to attract more visitors with new products, services, and strategies, such as promoting sustainable tourism.
The opening ceremony of the "Taiwan Culture and Tourism Promotion Fair 2022" took place on the evening of Saturday, November 19, followed by the first performance of the Ten Drum Art Percussion Group.
Musicians and dancers from the Hanoi College of Art also participated in the opening ceremony, with traditional Vietnamese music and dance performances, showing a beautiful artistic exchange between Vietnam and Taiwan.
Ten Drum Art Percussion Group performed again at 4pm on Sunday, November 20. The performances were outdoors, and entry was free.
