SLP Vietnam inaugurates rural road solar lighting project in Long An

The ceremony marked the activation of a 2.5km solar-powered street lighting system on Kenh T6 street, featuring 88 solar lamp posts to enhance safety and aesthetics, providing benefits to over 1,300 households and thousands of daily commuters, including teachers, parents, and students.

Tan Thanh commune, a gateway to Moc Hoa district which borders Cambodia, predominantly relies on agriculture, aquaculture, and small-scale trade. Given its underdeveloped infrastructure, the community faces significant challenges in developing the economy and improving the quality of life. Kenh T6 Ca Da - Tan Thiet street, stretching 2.5km, has been recently asphalted by Tan Thanh People's Committee and serves as a critical link to Thanh Phuoc commune in Thanh Hoa district, facilitating the daily commutes of over a thousand households, students from Moc Hoa and Thanh Hoa districts, and thousands of travellers.

The project has been sponsored by SLP Vietnam, and is set to significantly improve nighttime and early morning safety for the local population and transform the rural landscape.

In addition to developing and operating industrial and logistics infrastructure, and providing comprehensive solutions in manufacturing and logistics, SLP Vietnam places a strong emphasis on sustainable development and community support in the regions where it operates. Currently, SLP is investing in large-scale modern warehousing projects at Long Hau and Xuyen A industrial zones in Long An.

This initiative is part of the SLP Vietnam Sustain Link Programme 2022-2025, focused on improving local infrastructure, enhancing the quality of life for residents, and contributing to the economic and social development of the area.
