The complex, located in Thuan Thanh II Industrial Park (IP) in Thuan Thanh district, marks the third project in Bac Ninh province from the company (SLP), following the completion of SLP Park Yen Phong and SLP Park Nam Son Hap Linh in 2023.
The company is continuing to build its scale and network of modern logistics infrastructure in Vietnam to support customer growth, with abundant opportunities arising from the country’s robust manufacturing and domestic consumption growth.
In addition to investments in developing warehouses, SLP also provides other logistics facilities solutions such as factories and other elements in their logistics ecosystem tailored to meet market and customer-specific requirements.
According to Edwin Chee, COO of SLP, the company boasts significant advantages in scale and network, as well as with its global customer networks and resources, enabling it to provide robust support to its customers as they expand their operations.
“Our unwavering commitment is to provide global and local customers with an exceptional experience and to meet their specific business requirements that enhances their operational efficiency within the Vietnamese market,” Chee said.
SLP Bac Ninh Logistic is strategically located within a 30-km radius to Hanoi, providing easy access to key transportation routes including Hanoi-Lang Son highway, National Road 18, and Hanoi-Haiphong highway, which connect all provinces in the Northern Key Economic Zone and major infrastructure such as Noi Bai International Airport, Haiphong port, and Friendship border gate.
Thanks to its strategic location at the heart of manufacturing hubs, this project stands as the ideal choice for logistics and city distribution customers, as well as manufacturers.
The project is expected to be completed by Q4 of 2024. Upon completion, SLP Bac Ninh Logistic will provide 93,000sq.m of modern logistics facilities, delivering comprehensive solutions to meet the evolving demands of the market.
Before that, in October, SLP welcomed Jusda and four other enterprises as new tenants at SLP Park Yen Phong, located in Yen Phong I IP in the same province. Completed in March, the 70,000sq.m complex achieved full occupancy of its second building within six months, contributing to an overall occupancy rate of more than 75 per cent.
This building is now leased to a diverse set of customers, including a Japanese third-party logistics (3PL) company, a global supply chain management services provider, and a South Korean confectionery brand, as well as local manufacturers focusing on solar module solutions and film technologies.
Located within an established transport network with direct access to Noi Bai airport, SLP Park Yen Phong is an ideal logistics hub catering to a wide spectrum of manufacturing industries, exporters, air logistics service providers, and 3PLs that provide handling, storage, distribution, and value-added services in the high-tech industry.
Also located in Bac Ninh province, SLP Park Nam Son-Hap Linh finished construction in July and has since welcomed two global giants in electronics manufacturing and clean energy transition.
Meanwhile, environmental, social, and governance considerations are a priority for SLP, aligning with its global commitment and strategy.
“Our focus on improving efficiency across our businesses through the use and integration of data and technology is what sets us apart,” explained Chee. “As a result, we are able to reduce consumption, better manage assets, and invest capital more efficiently, which in turn generates better returns, reduces costs, and supports our employees as well as the local communities where we operate.”
The company is also committed to making sustainability a core component of its business activities. Its goal is to attain LEED for SLP Bac Ninh Logistic in the coming time, marking its fourth project with LEED certification.
“We commit to investing in enhancing tenant experience and service quality, including the installation of energy-efficient equipment and the creation of verdant open spaces,” Chee added. “Our focus is nurturing relationships with environmentally conscious partners and suppliers while delivering sustainable solutions.”
Bac Ninh is a major high-tech and semiconductor manufacturing hub in the Greater Hanoi region, and is host to prominent companies including Samsung, Canon, and Apple’s original equipment manufacturers such as Goertek, Biel Crystal, and many others. According to Bac Ninh People’s Committee, thanks to the favorable geopolitical position, policies for investment attraction, and an open business environment, the province has now become a bright spot in the country in terms of investment attraction and industrial development. As of October, the province has more than 2,040 foreign-invested projects with a total capital of $24.6 billion from 40 countries and territories.
