Regional event platform to accelerate business between Vietnam and ASEAN markets

VBEx is a bottom-up regional event platform that aims to contribute to the innovation and business creation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through a series of thematic events, including the VBEx Conference and VBEx Roundtable, and a unique business matching tool called VBEx Connect.

The inaugural edition of the VBEx Conference will take place from November 30 to December 1 at the Vietcombank Saigon South Branch in District 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The VBEx Conference is partnered with the 15^th M&A Forum organised by Vietnam Investment Review under the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam.

The conference is expected to attract 150 C-suite executives from Singapore, Shenzhen, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. The thematic industry focus is on three broad sectors: technology, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and fintech.

The Vietnam co-organisers of the event are the Research Innovation Consulting Hub under the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Science and Technology Associations and the Vietnam Digital Communications Association. The event has also received industry endorsements from the Saigon Construction and Building Materials Association, and the Vietnam Smart City Consortium.

Founding sponsors of the event include Vietcombank, LYS Energy, EY Consulting, Protus 1 Group, and Secoin Group, who plan to announce various milestone initiatives on the sidelines of VBEx 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The organisers of VBEx plan to anchor this flagship event in Ho Chi Minh City for 2024, which is designed to draw in the Singapore and ASEAN business community to support the development of Ho Chi Minh City as a regional business and financial hub.

VBEx Asia was founded by Singaporean industry veterans George Choo and Shanmuga Retnam, who have secured strong industry support to deliver the inaugural VBEx Conference in 2023 to mark the 50^th anniversary of bilateral relations between Singapore and Vietnam.
