Phu Yen has established a task force to deal with pandemic impacts |
Established earlier this month, the task force is collecting the difficulties facing enterprises and people and then building solutions to deal with the problems.
The task force is led by Le Tan Ho, Standing Vice Chairman of Phu Yen People’s Committee and the members who are either directors or vice directors of departments of planning and investment, finance, industry and trade, agriculture and rural development, among others.
In Phu Yen, Tuy Hoa City, which was the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, has paid much attention to stabilising people's lives and urgently granting aid packages to locals in 31 blockade areas. According to Cao Dinh Huy, Chairman of Tuy Hoa City People’s Committee, the locality allocated more than VND667.8 billion ($29 million) to provide 2,226 aid packages to promptly solve difficulties for all households in blockade areas.
Besides, in July, Phu Yen traffic police helped 400 people return home from pandemic-hit areas. 20 buses carrying 400 people back to Phu Yen were accompanied by traffic policemen on July 27. The escort ensured safe and smooth traffic for the bus group. The Traffic Police Office of Phu Yen also donated money, medical equipment, and tonnes of vegetables to people in pandemic-hit areas in the province.
