Taken by international photographer Maika Elan and photographer Tâm Bùi, the photos feature inspirational stories of the senior Vietnamese generation overcoming obstacles to make their dreams come true after the age of 50 with the support and companionship of their adult children.
Launched by Abbott on the occasion of the Parents Appreciation Month known as Vu Lan, the “Dream Are Blue” photo project, a two-month documentary photo project, is among the company’s activities to encourage adult children to discover their parents’ dreams and take realistic steps to help them realise their dreams.
At the ceremony, the eight main participants of the photo project, including Lê Thị Bích Thủy, 62, who has travelled across the country by motorbike and helped underprivileged communities on the way; Đặng Ái Việt, 69, who has visited and drawn portraits of nearly 1,500 women with the honour of "Vietnamese heroic mothers"; and Lê Thị Bích Hồng, 55, a champion swimmer, shared their own dream achieving stories.
The photo exhibition is open to the public until August 18 in the city’s Book Street located on Nguyễn Văn Bình Street in District 1 and online at uocmo.ensure.com.vn.
