Olam Agri Vietnam on a mission to transform food, feed and fibre

Olam Agri has a large portfolio of products serving food, feed, and fibre necessities. Vietnam is strategically important for most of the products in its portfolio, either as the origination of various products or as a destination market.

In Vietnam, Olam Agri has emerged as a prominent foreign-invested enterprise and currently conducts two core businesses.

With a rice processing facility in Long An province, Olam Agri is a major player in the rice sector. Its operations include buying, processing, and exporting rice, thus contributing significantly to Vietnam’s global rice profile.

In 2023, Olam Agri entered Vietnam’s aquafeed business with processing factories located in Dong Thap province. The company collaborates closely with fish farms throughout the production cycle, ensuring optimal nutrition for aquaculture.

The company also does business with natural rubber domestic and export participation. The company's persistent efforts have been acknowledged with the prestigious Fast Enterprise Material award at the Asia-Pacific Enterprise Awards 2024.

Rice exports set to break records According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, rice exports in October reached 800,000 tonnes with a value of $505 million, bringing the total for the first 10 months to nearly 7.8 million tonnes at almost $4.9 billion.
