Jointly organised by Hanoi Centre for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion (HPA), the event promoted OCOP items and other agricultural products from Hanoi and the neighbouring provinces and cities.
The event saw the participation of hundreds of businesses, cooperatives, and OCOP entities from provinces and cities across the country such as Lao Cai, Haiphong, Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Dak Nong, and many more.
It featured 90 booths, displaying over 1,000 products, along with various promotional activities, networking opportunities, and on-site product and processing demonstrations.
Nguyen Tran Quang, chief of the Office of HPA said, “All the products displayed here are typical OCOP agricultural items and regional specialities, along with traditional craft village products from Hanoi and other provinces and cities. Local people can experience the ancient culinary cultures of various localities, such as Moc An green rice, Uoc Le spring rolls, Thanh Tri rice rolls, and Ung Hoa rice porridge."

The event was organised to help agricultural and rural businesses and manufacturers to find new distribution channels for their products and to tap into the potential of the domestic market, as well as stimulate shopping and consumption activities as we prepare to welcome New Year 2024.
It was also part of the implementation of Plan No.73/KH-UBND, on agricultural and tourism economic development for rural area development and construction in Hanoi and saw the participation of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade and the Gia Lam District People’s Committee.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Bien District Vu Xuan Truong said, “With 90 booths and elaborately-decorated display spaces, locals and tourists had an opportunity to experience, enjoy and hear stories about the ancient culinary culture of localities; typical OCOP items, and learn about Hanoi cuisine through traditional delicacies such as Moc An green rice and Uoc Le sausage.”
Le Thi Tuyen, an officer at the Culture and Information Division of Ung Hoa district said, "Coming to the programme, we brought Ung Hoa specialty porridge and Quang Phu Cau incense. Through the event, I hope domestic and international tourists will have an opportunity to enjoy the specialties of my homeland, thereby promoting local consumption.”
On the occasion, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade and the Gia Lam District People’s Committee jointly organised an exhibition of OCOP items, handicrafts, and crafts form the village of Bat Trang commune in Gia Lam district.
Covering 2,000 square metres, the exhibition aims to connect creative design activities, producing new product models with high economic, technical and aesthetic value, suitable to customer tastes. From there, it is possible to develop and form a destination for creative design, promotion and sale of OCOP products. and craft villages.
