In Japan, Nisshin Seifun Welna sells processed foods such as wheat flour, and premix including karaage deep-fry mix, Tempura mix, and okonomiyaki flour, as well as dry pasta, pasta sauces, and frozen foods, holding a large market share in many categories.
Additionally, it has two facilities in Vietnam. In 2013, Vietnam Nisshin Seifun was established as a pasta sauce production facility, primarily exporting pasta sauce products to Japan. In 2018, Vietnam Nisshin Technomic was established as a production facility of premix sauces sold in the domestic Vietnamese market, with some products exported to Japan.
“We have developed products based on the preferences of customers in Vietnam, making full use of the two production facilities in Vietnam and the technology and flavouring knowledge we have cultivated in Japan," a company official said. "To meet the tastes of Vietnamese customers, we will offer a different quality and line-up of products than those for the Japanese market, and aim to become a food manufacturer that is loved by everyone in Vietnam.”

With production technology not only at the production facilities in Vietnam but also at group’s facilities in Japan, Thailand, and Turkey, the company will enhance household products in Vietnam, including dry pasta and frozen foods.
The company is the top manufacturer in the Japanese household-use pasta sauce market. By utilising its flavouring knowledge, it launched a product line consisting of three products that suit the tastes of the Vietnamese people.
The portions of its products are for two people, and the packaging is in convenient ready-to-eat pouches, and easy to cook through simple heating.
Focusing on the rice-eating culture of the Vietnamese and leveraging knowledge of ready-to-eat pouch products, the company has developed a flavoured sauce that you can easily enjoy by simply adding it to rice, pouring in water, and cooking. The portion size is 240g, suitable for two to four people.
Leveraging the knowledge gained from its premix flour business in Vietnam, it will launch four unique premix flour products, noted for their finished product quality. This product line is popular throughout the Vietnamese business-to-business market. It also plans to launch two additional products-Banh Xeo Flour and Sponge Cake Mix-in the future.
Nisshin Seifun Welna, a member of the Nisshin Seifun Group, operates the group’s companies: Vietnam Nisshin Seifun and Vietnam Nisshin Technomic.
