Acecook Vietnam, the leading instant noodle manufacturer in Vietnam, is joining hands with the Food Safety Department under the Ministry of Health and women’s unions to organise seminars to raise awareness of food safety and proper nutrition for women.

The seminars are expected to raise community awareness about healthy lifestyles. The events will take place in eight provinces and cities across the country, namely Hanoi, Danang, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Binh Duong, Ben Tre, Vinh Long and Tra Vinh, from May to the end of June 2024, and are expected to attract more than 2,000 women.

A food safety seminar was held in Hanoi on May 11

Senior experts will share practical information about food safety and hygiene and nutritional balance during the events. The seminars will have four topics: improving knowledge about choosing safe food, preserving food properly and processing food hygienically; providing information about the need for nutrients in daily meals; sharing nutritional secrets through the 4-5-1 nutritional formula; and answering common misunderstandings about food and nutrition.

On May 11, a similar seminar was held in Hanoi. At the event, the Department of Food Safety shared about the current status of food safety in Vietnam, and the role of food safety in health, socioeconomic development, and the community.

In addition, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Bach Mai, former deputy director of the National Institute of Nutrition, provided information on appropriate nutrition for each age group, while explaining misunderstandings related to food and nutrition that the majority often encounter.

Associate Professor Mai emphasised that there is no bad food but only bad meals. Eating the wrong way makes it become bad. Instead of worrying or being afraid of this type of food, everyone should equip themselves and their families with nutritional knowledge, adequate food, and follow a balanced and reasonable diet.

At the seminar, experts also explained the secrets to nutritionally balanced meals and improving daily health, including the 4-5-1 nutritional formula. Specifically, the 4-5-1 formula is simply understood as a diet that first needs to achieve four elements: balance of three groups of energy-producing substances (carbohydrate - fat - protein), balance between animal and vegetable proteins, balance between animal and vegetable fats, and balance of vitamins and minerals.

A representative of Acecook Vietnam said, "As a business that pays high attention to social responsibility, the partnership with the Department of Food Safety and the women's unions of eight provinces in organising this series of seminars is very meaningful to us.

This also demonstrates Acecook Vietnam's activeness in communicating to raise nutritional awareness in the community, contributing to realising the company's sustainable development goals, as well as promoting the company's Three Happy core values — Happy Consumers, Happy Society, Happy Employees."
