On January 23, bankers from Maybank Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Maybank Hanoi and Maybank Securities Vietnam gathering in Hanoi to celebrate in-person.
The hybrid event was also the country launch of the Maybank Group M25+ strategy with the Maybank Group president and CEO Dato’ Khairussaleh Ramli sharing the strategy and plan for Maybank Vietnam and the group.
One of the key messages from Ramli was the emphasis on strengthening and intensifying collaboration between the three business entities of Maybank Hanoi and Maybank Ho Chi Minh, Maybank Securities Vietnam, and An Binh Bank.
Ramli also gave assurances on the group's commitment to further expand its business in Vietnam, leveraging the strength of the three business entities.
Two long service employees, Johnson Yap (32 years), regional credit officer Vietnam, Laos & Myanmar, and Le Hang (27 years), head of operations, Maybank Hanoi, were invited by the Ramli to officiate the event with a cake-cutting ceremony.
The event concluded with him conveying his appreciation to all parties who had made the event a success through their efforts and participation. It was a meaningful inaugural visit for Ramli to Maybank Vietnam as it was marked by much camaraderie among attendees.

Maybank Group is also committed to further expanding its business in Vietnam, leveraging the three entities’ existing setup by offering all spectrum of banking services including commercial banking, investment banking and retail banking,” said Ramli. “Maybank Vietnam has laid a solid foundation in the country for the past 25 years (1995-2020) with excellent performance and acknowledgement, having been awarded the 'Best Syndication Bank in Vietnam' by Asia Pacific Loan Market Association in 2021."
