A number of global hotel chains are looking to open new facilities in Vietnam, highlighting the nation's attractiveness in other areas beyond manufacturing. A significant example is the cooperation between Marriott International and Vinpearl which will see Marriott International’s management take over seven hotels and resorts from April.

The additional seven hotels will expand Marriott International's footprint and leadership in the role of operating and franchising hotels, as well as reaffirm its strong ties with Vinpearl. Currently, Vinpearl has become Marriott's largest partner in Vietnam, with 15 hotels and resorts.

Rajeev Menon, Marriott International’s president for Asia-Pacific (excluding mainland China) said, “The signing marks another important milestone in our partnership with Vinpearl. With a chain of new hotels located in important tourist centres such as Danang and Nha Trang, a resort in the famous Hoi An, and the first internationally branded 5-star hotel in Bac Ninh, we are well positioned to meet the diverse demands for hotels across Vietnam.”

The agreement signed between Marriott International and Vinpearl marks an important milestone with the upcoming opening of Marriott's largest hotel in Vietnam – 829 rooms. Among the seven hotels and resorts that were signed this time, there are three that will be converted – they are expected to come back online with Marriott by the end of this year. These include Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa on Hon Tre Island, Renaissance Hoi An Resort & Spa, and Danang Marriott Resort & Spa in Non Nuoc Beach.

To celebrate Vietnam’s diverse and delicate culinary arts and culture, a number of hotels and resorts have also jointly launched incentives to enhance the travel experience for domestic and foreign tourists, aiming to stimulate summer tourism, especially on the occasion of April 30 and the other long national holidays.

Significantly, the programme Eat Out with Marriott Bonvoy, a grandiose food festival from April 1 to June 30, is set to showcase the best dishes available at each of the chain's restaurants.
