Global Sources, an internationally recognized B2B sourcing platform, has announced the first international B2B sourcing show in Vietnam with 500 booths and more than 6,000 buyers from the United States, the EU, Asia, and around the world.
Held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center from April 26 to 28, and with Vinexad as co-organiser, the event is designed to meet the rising demand for products from Vietnam and ASEAN, providing an unparalleled platform for buyers and suppliers to communicate face-to-face.
CEO of Global Sources Hu Wei said, "As Vietnam becomes a global manufacturing hub, we realise that international B2B buyers are starting to source here and in the surrounding countries. In order to respond to this surging demand, we are pleased to hold the first international sourcing exhibition in the nation. We believe that Global Sourcing Fair Vietnam will become the must-attend annual sourcing event for international buyers."
Global Sourcing Fair Vietnam will focus on bringing export-ready Vietnamese suppliers and their unique products to the world stage, facilitating close connections between suppliers and buyers by offering a diverse range of sourcing options.
The show will give buyers the opportunity to discover new, in-demand products from Vietnam's key industries including home and furniture, gifts and handicrafts, fashion and accessories, and textiles and fashion supplies.
More than 5,000 products, from raw materials to finished items, will be exhibited at the show to meet the needs of professional buyers in these industries. These will include collections from rising stars such as An Phuoc Garment, An Cuong Wood, Bitis, Cat Dang Handicraft, Kiara Vietnam, MP Crafts, Thai Son SP, and Viet Tiep Crystal.
The exhibition will also feature professional buyers from around the world. With over five decades in business, Global Sources has built a strong buyer community across more than 150 countries and territories with 1.5 million registered members and 200,000 verified buyers attending its trade shows all over the world.
A multi-channel promotion campaign will be launched to recruit from that global buyer community with a particular focus on bringing executives from world-leading brands to Vietnam including AEON, Bigben, Conair, D-mop, Disneyland Hong Kong, Fendi, Fossil Group, LCX, Levi’s, Li & Fung, Triumph, and Walmart.
Eva Yueh, director of Headwind Group and an experienced buyer from the Global Sources community said, "Vietnam is clearly one of the most important strategic sourcing destinations for us given the major advantages from the geopolitical situation, import and export duties, and improved infrastructure. We are looking for quality manufacturers from Vietnam for everything from backpacks to shopping bags, storage bags, kitchenware, furniture, and promotional items.”
Vietnam shines amid global economic volatilities Despite global volatilities, Vietnam’s economy has rebounded strongly this year beyond the forecasts of many international organisations, making the country one of the rare bright spots in the global gloomy picture and has the potential to become a new ‘tiger’ in Asia. |
Alternative strategies for sourcing Vietnam can continue to profit from an increased significance of “local-for-local” and dual/multiple sourcing strategies as foreign investors use the country as a supply hub for the Asia-Pacific region. Björn Koslowski, deputy chief representative of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), describes the options for businesses and the effects COVID-19 will have on these developments. |
