Herbalife Vietnam, a premier health and wellness company, was the official sponsor of the 65th Tien Phong Marathon National Championship held from March 29-31 in the central province of Phu Yen.

This year's tournament attracted 11,500 athletes nationwide and internationally, the highest number of attendants in this marathon's history.

"As a sponsor of this renowned running tournament for four concessive years, we are delighted that the Tien Phong Marathon National Championship has seen a record number of participants this time. We believe that sponsoring running events is one of the effective ways to encourage people to embrace a healthy active lifestyle,” said Vu Van Thang, general manager of Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia.

11,500 participants from diverse backgrounds, including professional national athletes, intellectuals, scientists, students, travellers, and more than 800 Herbalife Vietnam's independent members and employees, competed in the middle and long-distance races – 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km through the fantastic coastal landscapes of Phu Yen.

The routes took participants past the renowned, beautiful scenery and landmarks of Phu Yen, including stunning coastal roads, Nghinh Phong Tower, April 1^st Square, and Nhan Tower. In addition to running, the runners had the opportunity to experience this coastal province's rich history and culture.

First held in Hanoi in 1958, the Tien Phong Marathon National Championship is a prestigious event with a long history. As a top sporting event, the race has been integrated into Vietnam's official athletics competition system for the last 53 years and is held annually at the end of March. It is an excellent opportunity for amateur runners to compete alongside national athletes.
