To honour creative design resources in the capital, the event will feature nearly 50 activities and events, including exhibitions, thematic seminars, and inspiring art performances, among others. Several exhibitions within the festival's framework will last until the end of this month or longer.
The highlights of the festival, with a message of connecting tradition with modernity, are unique and iconic design works such as the Creative Gate, and the Traditional Space. These are both places for exhibitions and performances, as well as places for residents and visitors to interact and form a new perspective on the creative capital of Hanoi.
The organiser has also launched creative design competitions for young creators with a view to encouraging young people to participate in the construction of future city spaces.
During Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2022, the HPA was tasked with handling three highlight events.
First was the exhibition displaying innovative handicrafts, souvenirs and products of traditional villages, which took place at the walking space around Hoan Kiem Lake and around the area of King Ly Thai To Monument from November 11-13. The products on display at booths were designed in the shape of waves on the Red River.

The second was the ‘Sustainable Design Space’ exhibition, which also took place from November 11-13 at the Hanoi Information and Exhibition Centre in Dinh Tien Hoang street, Hoan Kiem district.
The event brought exposure to innovative design ideas towards developing products made from natural and recycled materials, with fashion designs inspired by cultural traditions.
The third is a seminar entitled ‘Experience in designing and developing Hanoi craft village products, scheduled to take place on November 15, drawing more than 100 delegates from state management agencies; trade, tourism, and investment promotion agencies; as well as researchers and designers, businesses, and craft village artisans.
Participants will discuss ways to support businesses and production units in craft villages in improving their product designs and competitiveness and work towards the sustainable development of Hanoi’s craft villages.
According to Do Dinh Hong, director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2022 affirms Hanoi's creative resources by connecting artists, creative designers and experts in different fields, creating a highlight for Hanoi at the national and regional levels.
