DEG Impulse and NovaGroup education project rolls out in Dong Thap

The programme officially started in the Phan Thi Nhe class of Long Khanh A3 Primary School, after initially kicking off in Tien Thanh 1 and 2 Primary School Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, on September 26.

This project was sponsored by NovaGroup and DEG Impulse, a subsidiary of DEG, the German Development Finance Institution. With funding by both groups amounting to around EUR400,000, the project not only supports schools to improve their facilities but also provides a team of qualified and experienced teaching staff to bring English learning in accordance with Cambridge YLE standards, and Informatics with international IC3 Spark test requirements to 1,000 students.

At the event's start, Nova Education CEO Dr. Bui Phi Hung emphasised the role of foreign languages for students in international integration.

“We believe that students will have interesting experiences with new learning methods, thereby being able to confidently communicate in English and be proficient in using computers for learning,” Dr. Hung said.

Long Khanh A3 Primary School, built by NovaGroup according to national standards, is fully equipped with facilities and many functional classrooms, including a computer room and a foreign language room.

From the very beginning, the school was supported with additional equipment in the English classroom, including projectors, sound systems, and computers for teachers.

In addition, the school's English and Informatics classes are also supplemented with international standard teachers and programmes to help students access modern and compelling learning methods.

Receiving practical support from the project, Pham Thi Dieu, principal of Long Khanh A3 Primary School, said she was delighted at the programme's implementation.

“This project not only provides students with more quality English and Informatics lessons but is also an opportunity for the school's teachers to improve their teaching capacity and approach international standard teaching methods," said Dieu.

The first English class with a foreign teacher started with some fun educational games

Starting on October 3, international standard English and Informatics lessons will be officially taught at all three schools: Long Khanh A3 Primary School, Tien Thanh 1, and Tien Thanh 2 Primary School.

NovaGroup also presented 1,000 gifts to the students, including Te Te rice cakes, sausages, and canned foods from Nova Consumer Corporation.
