Construction of $60 million logistics centre kicks-off in Hue

The venture is being funded by LEC Group to the tune of approximately $60.5 million.

The project covers 33.6 hectares, including a modern warehouse system, a cargo coordination centre, customs services, and multimodal transportation, and is expected to become a key logistics centre for the country.

LEC Group chairman Tran Duc Tuan noted that the scheme would not only enhance the competitiveness of Hue's logistics industry but also create jobs for workers, contributing to the socioeconomic development of Hue in particular.

The new logistics centre will be an important link in the national and international supply chain, creating a driving force for the sustainable development of Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone.

It also marks an important step forward in the development strategy of Hue’s logistics sector. According to the investor's representative, the project will be put into operation six months from the commencement date.

Chan May Logistics Centre is one of major construction projects marking the 50^th anniversary of Hue’s liberation on March 26.

On the same day, Hue People's Committee held an opening ceremony for the landmark Nguyen Hoang Bridge over the Huong River, part of the Nguyen Hoang and Huong River overpass project.
