CapitaLand Limited, a Singaporean property developer which has many projects in Vietnam, has recently been ranked 57th—the top Southeast Asian company—in Forbes' 2018 Global 2000: Best Regarded Companies listing.

CapitaLand’s new position is 11 spots higher than last year’s 68th place. To compile this list, Forbes partnered with Statista to survey 15,000 people from 60 countries.

Respondents were polled about their views on companies, on dimensions such as honesty, social conduct, performance of the company’s products or services, and the company as an employer.

According to Lee Chee Koon, president and group CEO of CapitaLand Group, CapitaLand was honoured to be given this recognition.

“It is a testament to our efforts to deliver quality real estate products and services that enrich people and build communities across our real estate portfolio that spans more than 150 cities and over 30 countries,” said Koon.

This award, he added, goes out to the colleagues of CapitaLand, who have all played their part in building an organisation that the company can be proud of.

“To move up 11 spots from last year’s 68th place is a significant achievement. We must continue to build on this foundation. We remain committed to strengthening the CapitaLand brand as a trustworthy and attractive employer, business partner, product and service provider, and sustainable global citizen," he added.

Vietnam is one of CapitaLand’s key markets in Asia. The real estate market in Vietnam is supported by the country’s strong economic growth, rapid urbanization, and a young and growing population. CapitaLand is committed to being a long-term real estate developer in the country.

CapitaLand’s current portfolio in Vietnam comprises of two integrated developments, close to 8,000 quality homes across 12 residential developments, two retail malls, as well as more than 4,800 serviced apartment units in 21 properties across seven cities—Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Haiphong, Halong, Danang, Binh Duong, and Nha Trang.
