Five Vietnamese billionaires on Forbes’ rich list

Vietnam currently has five billionaires listed on Forbes’ real-time global billionaire rankings, with their combined wealth marking a notable presence on the international financial landscape.

According to Forbes’ latest update as of June 30, Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of Vingroup and CEO of VinFast, continues to lead the list of Vietnamese billionaires with an estimated net worth of $10.5 billion. Vuong now ranks 273rd among the world’s wealthiest individuals, a significant jump from April, when Forbes reported his wealth at $6.5 billion.

Following him is Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, chairwoman of Vietjet, who holds a net worth of $2.5 billion. She ranks 1,517th globally and remains the richest female billionaire in Vietnam.

Ho Hung Anh, chairman of Techcombank, comes in third among Vietnamese billionaires with a net worth of $2.3 billion, positioning him at 1,631st worldwide.

Tran Dinh Long, chairman of Hoa Phat Group, also reported a net worth of $2.3 billion as of June 30, ranking 1,650th on Forbes’ list.

Nguyen Dang Quang, chairman of Masan Group, completes the list with a net worth of $1.1 billion, placing him at 2,850th globally.

Among these names, Vuong continues to hold the top spot as the wealthiest individual on Vietnam’s stock market, reflecting his expanding influence in real estate as well as the electric vehicle sector through VinFast.

The rankings underscore the growing presence of Vietnamese entrepreneurs on the global wealth map, driven by the country’s dynamic private sector and expanding industries ranging from real estate and banking to aviation and consumer goods.

Forbes’ real-time rankings adjust daily based on market fluctuations, stock prices, and asset valuations, offering a timely snapshot of global wealth distribution.
