Speaking about her new role, Dr. Lan said that this marks her fourth consecutive year serving on the Board of Governors of AmCham Vietnam (2022–2025).

"I am deeply honoured to take on the role of chair for the 2025 term and extend my heartfelt thanks to the Board of Governors for their trust and support. This role is a profound honour and a tremendous responsibility. I will dedicate my efforts to advancing AmCham’s mission while ensuring the organisation’s sustainable success and lasting impact in Vietnam," she said.

Dr. Lan, with over 25 years of experience in healthcare, has been deeply committed to improving public health in Vietnam.

She has participated in numerous significant healthcare initiatives, contributing to policy development that enhances patient access to advanced treatments at various organisations, including the Ministry of Health.

Since joining Merck & Co. (MSD) in 2016, Dr. Lan has led Government Affairs and Policy, Market Access, and Communications. This role has enabled her to further her mission to improve public health in Vietnam, while supporting the sustainable growth of the innovative pharmaceutical industry and maintaining long-term investments.

Her contributions to MSD’s achievements in Vietnam include enhancing access to healthcare services, as well as sponsoring community education activities about diseases that can be prevented through vaccination and implementing schemes such as 'MSD for Mothers' and 'Antimicrobial Stewardship'. These accomplishments were recognised by the Ministry of Health with the Medal for 'People’s Health'.

Dr. Lan is also deeply passionate about sustainable development, which she defined as, "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs". Together with the leadership team, she initiated MSD’s annual environmental protection and humanitarian blood donation drives.

Dr. Lan is the second Vietnamese female to take the chair of AmCham in Vietnam. Ly Le, director of External Affairs, Coca-Cola, previously held the position of chairwoman of AmCham Vietnam in 2016.
