Located in Ho Chi Minh City, the new office extends the firm’s geographic footprint and highlights its commitment to the region and recently launched SEAA business unit.
A&M’s new Vietnam office aligns with the firm’s current operations in Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, and Malaysia. It represents the next strategic step of SEAA’s growth plan and furthers the firm’s mission to solve complex problems for clients with a global network of boots-on-the-ground industry experts and operators.
To operate the new office, the firm has hired Vietnam-based Nidhi Thubanakere, a senior director at A&M’s Performance Improvement practice. Thubanakere brings more than two decades of experience consulting on cross-industry supply chain improvement and manufacturing optimisation. He has worked across Europe, America, the Middle East, India, and SEAA for multinational corporations, family-owned businesses, and sovereign wealth funds.
Global supply chain movements, a diverse economy with a sound investment climate, and the local market demand drive A&M’s expansion in SEAA, including Vietnam. |
Under the leadership of Utsav Garg, managing director and head of A&M’s SEAA business unit, the Vietnam office will focus on key industry sectors, including industrial and automotive, consumer and retail, technology and communications, and supply chain and operations improvement.
Garg said, “Vietnam’s business-friendly environment makes it one of the most exciting places to do business today, not only within ASEAN but throughout the entire Asia-Pacific region. A&M’s Vietnam office, along with Thubanakere’s in-depth local market experience, provides another pathway for helping private equity clients assess in-country investment opportunities that maximise value for their portfolio companies.”
Luis De Lucio, managing director and head of A&M’s Growth Markets Practice, said, “As our clients seek to expand their operations and footprint into Southeast Asia, we continue to expand here under the leadership of Utsav Garg. A&M's proposition of tangible and fast results is being met with an overwhelming response from our clients. The local market needs to align with A&M’s results-oriented mindset and commitment to driving change.”
