A German and two English tourists staying in Hanoi and Quang Ninh province have been reported as the 55-57th patients infected by COVID-19 in the country.

The 55th patient is a passenger on flight VN0018 (Vietnam Airlines)departing from France to Noi Bai International Airport in the morning of March 14. He is quarantined in National Hospital of Tropical Diseases located in Dong Anh district and has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 56th is a passenger from UK to Hanoi in the morning of March 9. He met two female visitors, who arrived in the city on another flight, and travelled together.

This man stayed in Hanoi Paradise Center Hotel in Hang Voi Street, Hoan Kiem district for one night. During March 10-13, he went to Sapa (Lao Cai province), stayed in Mountain River Homestay Sapa and returned to Hanoi, stayed in Oriental Suites hotel (Hang Dao Street, Hoan Kiem district).

This British visitor was isolated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases (Dong Anh district) since then, and the test reported positive for COVID-19.

The 57th arrived from London (UK) by flight VN0054 on March 9, the same flight where Patient 46 worked as a flight attendant. He was reported to have been tested positive for novel coronavirus and quarantined in Quang Nam.

As of the end of March 15, as many as 57 patients have been infected by COVID-19, 41 of whom are undergoing treatment and 16 were cured last month. Among these new patients, 17 are foreigners coming from Europe and the US and only one is from South Korea.
