The event saw Citi Treasure and Trade Solutions experts discuss themes such as working capital optimisation, sustainable financing, infrastructure financing, and trade digitalisation with AI. Citi seniors also updated on the local economy and key trade regulations.

Keynote speaker Shalin Shroff, Citi’s head of Asia South Trade and Working Capital Sales, provided in-depth information about the global trade landscape, highlighting Asia’s growing importance.
"Asia is dominating global trade flows, with Vietnam playing a strategic role in the global supply chain. The continent is expected to account for nearly 40 per cent of the global trade flows by 2027, up from 34 per cent in 2010," said Shroff.
Shalin Shroff went on to list four market trends shaping Vietnam’s trade growth, including supply chain improvements, increased foreign direct investment, rising intra-Asia trade, and technological advancements.
Citi experts believe that Asia will continue to anchor global trade through 2030, with ASEAN expected to experience significant growth.
According to a recent Citi GPS report on supply chain financing, large corporations are increasingly optimistic about supply chain stability.
A recent survey confirmed an easing of supply chain pressure. However, sustained higher interest rates are creating uncertainty, especially for small- and medium-sized enterprises.
Citi’s mid-year research on Vietnam’s economic outlook revealed robust export growth, with a 17 per cent on-year increase.
