Vietnam and Singapore will strengthen cooperation in the development of their digital economies in the upcoming time following an MoU signed on February 25.

As part of the Singapore visit by State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on February 25, Vietnamese Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung and his Singaporean counterpart Josephine Teo signed the MoU on both countries' cooperation in digital economy development.

Under the MoU, the two sides will enhance cooperation and exchange information and experience about policies, strategies, development orientations, digital infrastructure and platforms to accelerate digital transformation alongside information security, data governance, and personal data protection.

To implement the contents of cooperation, the two countries will set up a joint working group which includes representatives from their relevant agencies.
