All tiNiWorld and tiNiStore locations within the Vincom shopping centre system will close from February 5, 2024. However, other tiNi locations across the country will continue to operate as usual. The company has stated that this move is aimed at operating more efficiently in 2024.
"These VuiVuiLand centres within the Vincom shopping centre system are not related to the tiNiWorld/tiNiStore brand and do not belong to the Nkid Group company. tiNi asserts that it has not sold shares or licensed its brand to any entity and therefore will not be responsible for the quality of services, safety, and other issues arising from these centres (including personnel and recruitment issues)," the chain said
Before the announcement of the closure, tiNi system had 42 tiNiWorld centres and 35 tiNiStore centres nationwide.
The chain claims to serve over 12 million customers annually. Most locations are situated in commercial centres and large supermarket systems such as Aeon Mall, Thiso Mall, Giga Mall, Lotte, and Vincom.
In 2020, tiNiWorld owned 24 entertainment locations in Vincom shopping centres nationwide. By the time of the 2024 Lunar New Year, the chain still had 12 operational locations in Vincom.
tiNiWorld was established in September 2009. In 2016, Nkid Group received a $40 million investment to expand its retail chain and entertainment centres, as well as to add new business activities.
By 2019, Nkid Group had received an additional $36.2 million investment from Singapore's Crescent Point fund management company. In addition to operating its own brands, this business has licensed Disney brands since 2017.
