The US' Ecolab opens new manufacturing plant in Vietnam

On January 12, Ecolab, an American-listed company offering water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions, announced the grand opening of its new cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Ho Nai Industrial Park in the southern province of Dong Nai.

Covering an area of 3,000 square metres, the new plant boasts an advanced laboratory, manufacturing facility, and warehouse. The facility will also provide additional local job opportunities, bringing the company's workforce in Vietnam to more than 100 people.

As a global sustainability leader, Ecolab supports customers in multiple industrial markets, including food services, lodgings, healthcare, building facilities, food and beverage processing, manufacturing, and more. The company delivers comprehensive science-based solutions, data-driven insights, and services to advance food safety, maintain clean and safe environments, and optimise water and energy use.

Greg Lukasik, senior vice president and market head for Southeast Asia at Ecolab said, "This space is a key milestone for fostering growth and will serve as a hub of science, expertise, and support activities from the Ecolab team to better serve our customers and the local community. With the opening of the new plant, we are creating fresh opportunities for customer partnerships, while simultaneously showing our commitment to supporting the development and growth of Vietnam's thriving economy."

In the same vein, Sam de Boo, executive vice president and president for Ecolab Global Markets said, "Vietnam is a key strategic focus for Ecolab, and the investment in the plant marks a key step in better supporting our customers. The markets we serve will continue to benefit from our global innovation capabilities, combining chemistry, digital technology, data analytics, and services to deliver exceptional customer value."

To show the US Department of Commerce's support of the opening, Greg Harris, principal commercial officer at the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City said, "Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in ASEAN. Its industrial customers in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia will benefit from the teams' expertise, technology, and solution delivery."
