VIR editor-in-chief Le Trong Minh noted that over the course of several years, the scholarship committee had made multiple visits to Ha Tinh, with VIR taking great pride in its role in facilitating connections and encouraging disadvantaged students in the province.
He expressed his pride at seeing the growing students, especially those facing formidable challenges, displaying unwavering determination to surmount obstacles and attain academic accomplishments.
“We recognise that the value of these scholarships extends beyond mere material support; they serve as a source of genuine warmth, intended to inspire and propel students to persist in their pursuit of knowledge, and ultimately shape them into valuable contributors to our society and nation,” said the editor-in-chief.

Since its inception in 2007, the annual Swing for the Kids charity golf tournament, organised by VIR with the support of the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund, has established itself as a highly regarded and socially significant event, embodying compassion and benevolence.
Over 16 years, the tournament has successfully raised over $745,000. The funds have been utilised to provide more than 18,000 scholarships to underprivileged students, enabling them to pursue educational endeavours.
Additionally, the contributions have been directed towards the enhancement and refurbishment of educational facilities in 40 cities and provinces nationwide, lifting the learning environment for countless students.
