Speaking at the VIR conference, Le Thi Hong Na, strategic advisor for sustainable development at Phuc Khang Corporation said,"Back in 2009, we started with small activities such as volunteering for the community. We have gradually improved the quantity and quality of our activities to form a more comprehensive CSR strategy for a healthy and happy community."
Phuc Khang Corporation has since led many different CSR activities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, for example, the company successfully launched the 'Green Heart Volunteer' campaign, consisting of several meaningful community activities.
In addition, Phuc Khang has also made efforts to improve its corporate governance system, establishing strong and trustworthy relationships with partners and the community.
According to Na, Phuc Khang Corporation has embarked on a journey towards sustainable development, creating green buildings, green communities and a green future. CSR practices are now shifting to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and the company's existing CSR activities have laid a solid foundation for its ESG practices.
In addition, Phuc Khang has made efforts to improve its corporate governance, establishing strong and trustworthy relationships with partners and the community.
Phuc Khang has selected nine priority and eight supplementary goals based on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals as a strategic framework. In the first half of this year, the corporation implemented specific activities based on each ESG aspect, including the application of the circular economy model to its business activities.
Meanwhile, the firm's real estate products have been registered and implemented according to international green building criteria. The corporation also organises 'Green Study' programmes for staff and the community, with courses and seminars on green building and sustainable development, as well as field trips to green projects.
Phuc Khang ensures compliance with ESG articles related to salary, bonuses, and health insurance for all employees. The corporation has also secured Gender Equality Assessment Results and Strategies certification. Meanwhile, it runs internal training schemes for life and professional skills development, awarding scholarships in partnership with various foundations and universities.
The corporation continues to implement the comprehensive 'e-office' digital transformation project, organise special training courses for management teams, and perfect corporate policies and processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
"Successful strategic implementation of ESG will be one of the important foundations for sustainable development, bringing greater value to everyone," Na said.
