This milestone further solidifies NS BlueScope Vietnam's role as a trusted partner in the green building industry while continuing to affirm its strong commitment to sustainability and ESG practices.
An EPD is a comprehensive, third-party verified document that discloses standardised information about a product’s environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle - from raw material extraction to end-of-life disposal.
Developed in accordance with EN 15804+A2 and ISO 14025, each EPD is based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), independently verified by an accredited third party and registered under the EPD International System.

For businesses pursuing sustainability or aiming for green building certifications, EPDs offers a credible basis for selecting materials with lower environmental impacts – supporting responsible sourcing and carbon-reduction efforts.
In the context of Vietnam’s strong commitment to sustainability, green building standards such as LEED, LOTUS, EDGE, GRESB, and Green Mark are becoming increasingly prevalent.
Using materials with verified environmental transparency – such as NS BlueScope Vietnam’s alloy-coated steel products – helps investors meet higher green certification standards and reduces the risk of greenwashing.
In addition, the use of EPD-certified materials allows for more accurate assessment of environmental and life cycle costs, enabling more efficient long-term planning and driving both economic performance and sustainable outcomes.
NS BlueScope Vietnam’s EPDs are now publicly accessible through the EPD International System’s online library.
