The opening ceremony will take place on the morning of May 27 at a lively outdoor stage on the vast rice field along the Tam Coc tourist route in Ninh Hai Commune.
The ceremony will be livestreamed by Vietnam Television and Ninh Binh Television on their digital platforms.

The event aims to draw 1,500 delegates, including those from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassadors from 15 nations, international tourism associations operating in Vietnam, leaders from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Vietnam Tourism Association, UNESCO Travel Club, the heads of Ninh Binh province and 13 other localities, representatives from tourism businesses, and members of the local press.

About 200 international and domestic travel companies, and more than 100 photographers from across the country, are expected to join the event.
Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 aims to introduce and promote the outstanding value of the province's tourism, especially that of the well-known Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, to stimulate demand.
The annual promotion event aims to play a key role in the revival and expansion of the tourism industry.
Tam Coc rice field has been listed among the most beautiful in Vietnam, and a new feature in the 2023 version is a poetic 9,500sq.m image that stretches along the Ngo Dong river. It symbolises abundance and the bountiful water element that supports the sustainable development of green tourism in the ancient capital of Hoa Lu.
The event will provide numerous opportunities for visitors to indulge in a chain of inspiring activities, such as discovering the unique culinary culture of the region at Tam Coc's pedestrian street and food market.

Visitors will be able to join photo tours, see an exhibition of artistic photography, explore the region's traditional handicraft items, enjoy water puppetry, and listen to Cheo and Xam singing and folk music from Vietnam’s three regions, plus many other cultural activities.
In addition, cultural and artistic performances are slated to be held in the evenings to honour the area's cultural values.
Ninh Binh, located in the southernmost part of the Red River Delta, strives to welcome 5.35 million visitors this year with a total revenue surpassing $221 million.
The efforts contribute to gradually transforming the local tourism into a key economic sector and establishing Ninh Binh as a prominent tourist destination in the Red River Delta and for the country as a whole.
