MB remains investor favourite for its exceptional IR practices

On the morning of September 28 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Association of Financial Executives, the online magazine Finance and Life, and vietstock.vn collectively organised the IR Awards 2023 ceremony to honour the listed companies with the best IR activities in 2023.

This event was conducted to acknowledge the efforts and achievements made by companies in standardising their IR, intending to elevate awareness of the pivotal role IR plays and the significance of developing professional activities that align with international standards.

"MB’s unswerving adherence to information disclosure and its transparent financial communications have achieved effective interaction between the enterprise, the financial community, and other constituents," the organising committee of the IR Awards 2023 remarked, highlighting MB’s endeavours to optimise its corporate value.

Over 2022 and H1/2023, MB meticulously organised events and engaged in discussions with shareholders, investors, and analysts to update them on its operational developments, business outcomes, and strategies.

This approach ensured that information regarding MB’s business activities was conveyed comprehensively, promptly, and accurately to investors and the market, maintaining the capitalisation value and investment efficiency of MB’s stocks, which witnessed a capitalisation of VND91.6 trillion ($3.87 billion) as of June 30 – a 21 per cent increase compared to the beginning of the year.

MB’s shares have seen a remarkable surge of 307 per cent from January 2017 to June this year, far surpassing the 68 per cent growth of the VN-Index.

“MB has always placed exceptional emphasis on compliance, transparency, timeliness, and equality in providing corporate information to investors,” a representative from MB stated.

In 2022, MB integrated environmental, social, and governance sustainability development data into its annual report, positioning it among the seven best annual reports chosen by investors as per the programme of the State Securities Commission and the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.

The awards and positive feedback from investors manifest the unwavering dedication and continuous efforts in IR over the years, enhancing the image of MB and its subsidiaries with shareholders, the investor community, and customers both domestically and internationally.

According to the organisers of the IR Awards 2023, the honoured firms beat out 731 listed companies as they underwent meticulous, comprehensive surveys and assessments of their information disclosure activities over 12 months (from May 1, 2022, to April 30, 2023). The evaluation of IR activities involved scores from 33 leading financial institutions and votes from the investor community.
