Liberty Insurance reaffirms pioneering position as International General Insurer of the Year

Liberty Insurance received the International General Insurer of the Year – Vietnam award at the Insurance Asia Awards (IAA) 2024

Established in 2016, the annual Insurance Asia Awards honour outstanding insurance companies across Asia-Pacific. The International General Insurer of the Year award recognises companies with exceptional service quality and innovative insurance solutions.

Liberty Insurance is the first and the only non-life insurance company in Vietnam to win for three consecutive years at the Insurance Asia Awards, with three International General Insurer of the Year awards and two Automobile Insurance Initiative of the Year awards. This prestigious regional recognition demonstrates Liberty's relentless efforts and strong commitment to enhancing service quality, providing comprehensive protection solutions, and ensuring peace of mind for customers.

Speaking about this achievement, Nga Tran, general director and head of distribution at Liberty Insurance, said, "We are deeply honoured to be named International General Insurer of the Year for three consecutive years. As one of Vietnam's earliest foreign non-life insurance companies (since 2003), we have continuously strived to improve our products and services, providing comprehensive protection that allows our customers to confidently enjoy life and pursue their goals."

Nga Tran also emphasized that after 20 years in Vietnam, Liberty Insurance understands the desires and needs of customers when it comes to protecting their assets and ensuring the health of their families and businesses. Building upon this deep understanding, Liberty Insurance consistently innovates and develops insurance products and services specifically for Vietnamese customers at reasonable rates.

Customers are becoming more discerning in choosing insurance solutions in the context of rapidly advancing technology and diverse, widespread digital content. Recognising this trend, Liberty Insurance has been a leader in applying advanced technology to its business operations.

According to Nga Tran, Liberty continuously invests in modern technology platforms to provide transparent, up-to-date, and useful information to customers and partners. "Our goal is to enable customers and partners to quickly and easily access the necessary information about products, supporting them in finding the right insurance solutions for their families and businesses," she said.

Furthermore, Liberty has invested in technology to enhance convenience and speed in the claims process for customers. In mid-2024, Liberty Insurance launched an online claims submission feature for health insurance products. This system enhances the customer experience by shortening the claim submission time and providing a fast, simple, and convenient process.

Additionally, website features such as getting a comprehensive autocare insurance quote in just one minute and purchasing international travel insurance in just four simple steps help customers make transparent and proactive choices for suitable insurance products.

To provide more flexible payment options for customers, Liberty Insurance launched a "zero per cent interest installment" programme for auto insurance products in the fourth quarter of 2023. Through this programme, Liberty aims to provide comprehensive insurance solutions, helping customers to "embrace today, confidently pursue tomorrow", without financial worries.

Customers only need to pay from VND35,000 ($1.38) per day while still receiving maximum protection benefits from Liberty Auto Insurance. Additionally, customers can pay in zero per cent interest instalments, with flexible terms from three to six months.

Liberty Insurance takes pride in its diverse and inclusive leadership team, with nearly half its members being women. Appointed as general director and head of distribution at Liberty Insurance in September 2023, Nga Tran highlights the company's steadfast dedication to providing high-quality insurance products and services in Vietnam.
