Laguna Lang Co Golf Club officially opened

Laguna Lang Co Golf Club, part of Laguna Lang Co Integrated Resort in Thua Thien-Hue Province, was officially opened last weekend.

The golf club already welcomed players in the past three months in its pre-opening phase and marked its official opening last Sunday, with a golf event taking place from Saturday to Monday.

The 18-hole championship golf course is located in Laguna Lang Co Integrated Resort, which is also home to two resorts, two spas, a high-end residential area, a convention center and several other facilities.

The golf course is designed by Nick Faldo, winner of six major championships. Situated between Danang and Hue, it has been a major talking point for the past two years among golfers and tour operators in Asia and around the world, the golf course operator said in a statement.

“For this part of Vietnam, it’s a real hidden gem. Players will need to plot their way through some very picturesque surroundings. The course will sport a ruggedly-handsome look with a real sense of place,” Faldo is quoted in the statement.

The 6.3-km-long par-71 golf course sits proudly along with a few other golf courses in the central region to form the Golf Coast of Vietnam, says a statement of Laguna Lang Co.

Laguna Lang Co is the largest world-class integrated resort in Vietnam. The 280-hectare community, which marks the first project of Banyan Tree Group in Vietnam, resides near Lang Co Bay and is framed by a three-kilometer beach overlooking the East Sea.
