KPMG expands legal services in Asia Pacific

More than 275 lawyers across Southeast Asia are set to join KPMG legal firms, giving the global organisation an extensive legal footprint in Asia Pacific, bringing coverage globally to 84 jurisdictions.

On December 1, KPMG International has announced that several law firms and teams from the ZICO Law network have joined its network of firms.

The deal will see more than 275 lawyers join over 2,900 legal professionals in the KPMG global organisation, creating a significant legal footprint across the Asia Pacific.

It will offer legal services and solutions, a globally connected legal services platform, and specialists who work with leading technology providers to modernise legal functions across organisations.

“This expansion reflects KPMG professionals' commitment to supporting clients as they seek to drive their businesses in times of exponential change. The need for deep, local experience coupled with global insights and technology solutions has never been greater,” said Stuart Fuller, global head of Legal Services at KPMG International.

“For the KPMG global organization, the overall agreement with the firms in the ZICO Law network increases the total number of legal professionals to close to 3,200 across 84 jurisdictions, all working to help support clients as they navigate the increasingly strategic and economic importance of the Asia Pacific region,” Fuller said.

KPMG in Vietnam also welcomes eight members from ZICO network, bringing its total legal professionals to over 90 people.

KPMG in Vietnam also welcomes eight members from ZICO network, bringing its total legal professionals to over 90 people.

The announcement builds on KPMG's ongoing commitment to offer global coverage and capability to organisations as they seek to deal with changing business models, supporting factors, government and regulatory oversight, and increasing digitisation.
