The group received warm greetings from An Phat Holdings chairman Pham Anh Duong, the group’s top executives, and members of the staff.
In the previous years, Kagoshima prefecture held diverse activities for trade exchanges, human resources development, and economic co-operation in Vietnam. The locality has received a large number of interns and labourers from Vietnam, while simultaneously developing co-operative ties between the two sides in promoting hi-tech agriculture.
At the meeting, chairman Pham Anh Duong provided insights into the group’s operation to the Japanese delegates. In his words, with Southeast Asia-leading advantages in hightechnology and environmentally friendly plastics production, An Phat Holdings exports products to more than 50 countries around the globe, including markets with stringent quality requirements such as Japan, the US, and the EU.

As for the Japanese market alone, each year An Phat Holdings provides the market with several thousand tonnes of thin-membrane packaging which accounts for 32 per cent of their total export value, ranking second among the group’s diverse export markets.
Additionally, An Phat Holdings has developed sustainable co-operative ties with leading Japanese groups such as Honda and Toyota in the supporting industry field.
Duong said that the meeting with the delegates from Kagoshima prefecture helps the company acquire a better insight into the Japanese market and policies, especially those of Kagoshima prefecture, which will allow them to craft suitable policies to approach the market.

“Our target is expanding our exportsto all countries in the region and the world, and Japan is one of our top markets at the moment.” Duong said. “Kagoshima is a coastal locality and our member unit, An Phat Bioplastics, is producing environmentally friendly biodegradable fishing nets that are favoured in many countries.”
“We hope the product, and other biodegradable plastic items of An Phat Bioplastics such as knives, forks, bags, and agricultural thin-membrane packaging will soon reach the hands of people in Kagoshima prefecture,” he added.

Taking a close look at An Phat Bioplastics’ state-of-the art equipment and production lines, Kagoshima leaders appreciated An Phat Holdings’ dedication and vision to develop totally biodegradable plastic product lines.
According to Governor Satoshi Mitazono, the visit’s prime goal was to tighten relations between their locality and Hai Duong province where An Phat Bioplastics operates, and between Vietnam and Japan.
“An Phat Holdings has a perfect plant. I have a great many praises for An Phat Bioplastics’ products, particularly the AnEco-branded items which are made from corn starch. I trust in the group’s robust development in the future.”
