Herbalife Nutrition, whose purpose is to make the world healthier and happier, will provide sports nutrition products, nutrition training, awards, and incentives to support the competitors bound for the two sporting events, to be held in the Philippines.
These agreements are part of a five-year partnership between Herbalife and the Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC) and the Vietnam Paralympic Association (VPA) from 2017 to 2021, strengthening Herbalife’s position as the Official Nutrition Sponsor for top Vietnamese athletes. Herbalife has also sponsored athletes at the 2017 SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games, and the 2018 ASIAD and 2018 Asian Para Games. The company will also undertake the role at the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games until 2021, as well as at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
“The 2019 SEA Games is a very important arena for Vietnamese athletes as performances at this sporting event will provide strong motivation for athletes to try their best to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics,” said Tran Van Manh, secretary general of the VOC. “With the strong commitment of Herbalife in sponsoring science-backed nutritional products and training by their experts, I believe that Vietnamese athletes will continue to build on their great performances at 2018 ASIAD and fulfill the country’s ambitious goals for 2019 SEA Games, getting fully prepared for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.”

“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Herbalife for its long-term nutrition products as well as athletic training support for our athletes,” Phiet continued. “Herbalife is also the only business voted as member of the new executive committee of the VPA for the 2019-2023 term. I believe within this role, Herbalife will help the VPA successfully implement its target of mobilising private capital to support para sports and leveraging para sports to the next level.”
