Herbalife Vietnam’s sponsorship of Vietnam’s national football teams is being extended |
In response to the government’s policy of socialising high-performance sports activities, especially football, Herbalife Vietnam is proud to support the aspirations of Vietnamese football players to outperform and garner better results to enrich the country’s football history.
With that, a renewed sponsorship is aligning with the company’s long-term mission of inspiring the community to live healthier lives by encouraging people to play sports and exercise regularly.
At the end of March, Herbalife Vietnam joined forces with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to announce its official sponsorship of Vietnam’s national football teams, through which the company will provide players with high-quality and science-based nutrition products to help them improve their strength and endurance during training, as well as in competitions.
This sponsorship is part of Herbalife Vietnam’s official partnership with the VFF to support football in Vietnam from 2021 to 2024.
Over the next year or so, Vietnam’s national football teams will compete in major regional and international tournaments including the Asian Cup 2023, SEA Games 32, ASIAD 19, and – for the first time – the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
“As the official sponsor of the Vietnamese national football teams, we are delighted and proud to have witnessed the excellent achievements of the country’s football in recent times. Notably, the national women’s football team secured a place in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup finals for the first time, and both the men’s under-23 team and women’s national team successfully defended their championship at SEA Games 31,” said Vu Van Thang, general manager for Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia.
“We hope our nutrition products and sponsorship in partnership with the VFF will help support the long-term objectives for our national football teams to reach new heights at regional and international competitions,” Thang added.
VFF president Tran Quoc Tuan said, “The sponsorship of Herbalife Vietnam plays a significant role in supporting us to prepare for upcoming major tournaments. I would like to thank Herbalife Vietnam for its persistent, continuous, and practical contributions to the journey of Vietnamese football.”
In addition to financial support and high-quality scientific nutritional products, Herbalife Vietnam has also cooperated strongly with the VFF to organise nutrition and athletic sharing for its coaches, staff, and football players to create a strong physical foundation for Vietnamese football, Tuan explained.
Highlighting the importance of science-based nutrition in sustaining endurance, physical strength, and determination to improve performance, the cooperation agreement between VFF and Herbalife Vietnam has reaffirmed the long-term goal of the development of Vietnamese football, while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle to the community at the same time.
Meanwhile, last month Herbalife Vietnam worked with the Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC) to organise a send-off ceremony for over 1,000 Vietnamese athletes, coaches, and officials bound for the SEA Games 32, to be held in Cambodia during May 5-17.
The company will provide Vietnam’s top athletes with nutrition advice and products throughout the competition period, to support them in sustaining and boosting their energy. Herbalife Vietnam’s representatives will also join Vietnam’s sports delegation at the tournament, to help motivate athletes and offer awards to those who claim gold medals at the SEA Games.
VOC general secretary Tran Van Manh said, “We are happy to have such a long-term and valuable partner as Herbalife Vietnam. The company is strongly committed to providing practical support to Vietnamese sports, making important contributions to enhancing the performances of athletes at regional and international events, as well as working with top Vietnamese sports organisations to build foundations to take the country’s sports to the next level. The company’s continued support has been among the most important elements behind our athletes’ high preparedness ahead of this year’s SEA Games.”
