Hanwha Life Vietnam is one of the life insurance companies that have carried out many activities to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic since its onset in Vietnam. In 2020, the company has donated nearly 9,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline healthcare workers who work tireless days and nights to save patients' lives.
In June 2021 alone, the beginning month of the largest outbreak in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern localities, Hanwha Life Vietnam has contributed VND1 billion ($43,480) into the COVID-19 vaccine fund to join hands with the government and people of Vietnam to respond to the pandemic.
The pandemic has not only wreaked havoc on the economy, but also on the physical and mental health of many people. As the pandemic has passed its peak, the municipal city is gradually recovering and rebuilding life in the new normal. However, the damage left by the pandemic in society, families, and individuals is still lingering. People have been able to gradually return to a new normal, but the pandemic prevention team is still fighting and trying their best to control the outbreak.
In this context, Hanwha Life Vietnam has sent 2,215 gifts to encourage and empower those who have been severely affected by the pandemic and 1,000 PPE kits for frontline workers in Binh Thanh and Binh Chanh districts. The total value of the gifts is worth up to VND724 million ($31,480). The gift packages are expected to help the community and frontline workers to overcome the challenges in the new normal.
