The programme is organised by Hanoi Department of Tourism in collaboration with related units with the aim of stimulating the capital's tourism demand and attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to Hanoi.

The Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2022 includes a series of attractive activities. The opening ceremony, ao dai music festival, and closing ceremony are being covered live on Hanoi's television and radio stations.
There are also side activities such as the exhibition space with pictures and documents, five ao dai exhibition spaces, and 50 booths for designers, ao dai brands, travelling businesses, hotels, airlines, and other establishments.
The first running of a contest to design creative ao dai by groups of students from universities in the city will be an interesting activity that attracts the attention of both local people and visitors.

Le Quy Duong, head of the Organisation Board of the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2022 shared that the opening art programme will be a combination of music, light, and ao dai performances from around the nation with the desire to promote the ao dai within the tourism sector.
The ao dai performance by tourism, aviation, and hotel businesses will be the highlight of the programme, conveying the message that Vietnam's tourism in general, and Hanoi in particular, are showing the image of the ao dai as a cultural and tourism ambassador for both the capital and the nation.
